Telehealth Counseling · Adults in Delaware

Helping you move toward clarity, confidence, and lasting change.

Life can feel overwhelming — anxiety that won't quiet down, emotional exhaustion, a difficult transition, or experiences that still affect your daily life. Whatever brought you here, you don't have to face it alone.

At Clear Choice Counseling, I provide compassionate, evidence-based telehealth counseling for adults throughout Delaware. Together we'll make sense of what's happening, identify the patterns keeping you stuck, and build practical skills to help you move forward with greater confidence.

The path doesn't have to be sharp everywhere at once — it only has to keep leading forward.

Is This You?

You may be here because…

If any of this resonates, therapy can help. Many of the people I work with have spent so much time taking care of everyone else that they've lost sight of their own needs. No matter how you arrived here, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported.

About

Meet Nicole Cunningham, LPCMH

I provide telehealth counseling for adults across Delaware. Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in human services, supporting individuals and families through complex life challenges — experience that shaped my belief that healing happens through understanding, collaboration, and practical support, not judgment.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and individualized. I don't believe therapy should feel like someone telling you what's wrong with you. My role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that no longer serve you, and learn skills that make everyday life feel more manageable — always adapting our work to fit you, not the other way around.

I work well with people who are curious about themselves and ready to make meaningful changes, even if they aren't sure where to begin. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting. Together, we'll build practical skills to help you move forward, and celebrate progress along the way.

Here's what those approaches actually look like in practice:

What to Expect

Uncertainty shouldn't be the hardest part of starting therapy.

Here's what the process actually looks like, from your first session onward.

Your first session

We'll spend our first session getting to know one another — what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any questions about the process. Together we'll shape a plan that fits your needs.

How therapy works

Each session builds on the last. We'll return to what matters most to you, track what's shifting, and adjust the approach as we learn what helps.

How long therapy takes

There's no fixed timeline — some people come for a few months to work through something specific, others stay longer. We'll check in regularly on how it's going and what still feels needed.

Between sessions

Where it's helpful, we'll talk through small, practical strategies you can try between sessions — never busywork, just things worth testing in real life.

How progress is measured

Progress looks different for everyone. We'll return often to your original goals and talk honestly about what's changing and what isn't, so therapy stays useful rather than open-ended.

What telehealth looks like

Sessions happen over a secure video platform from wherever you feel most comfortable. Most sessions last approximately 53 minutes, at a consistent day and time each week.
